"I love power rangers"

"Power Rangers are the best people! They are awesome!"--David

If someone had told me 25 years ago that I would one day be playing Power Rangers, I would have called them crazy.  And now it is my life.  At least I don't have to be the "mooger" (bad guy).  Tanner always gets to play that role :)

"You got sad at me"

A classic David tantrum right here.

It's Raining!

Epic rainstorms here in AZ.  Epic once in a lifetime rain around here.  And we loved every second of it!

Except for Maggie.  I don't think she liked it at all, poor girl.

McDonald's

Wyoming style! We stopped at a McDonald's in Evanston, WY on our Utah trip and Carden and David were both so confused.  "What are those, Mom?" Ha ha, looks like we need to ride a few more horses around here.

An oldie but a goodie...

Cause there is no shame in walking home with only a shirt on. No shame at all.

We made it...

to Utah! It's only been two and a half years. Oops.  So we had a busy busy week, of course trying to cram everything into 10 days, but it was worth it and the kids had a blast.  They were very very happy to be home though and not driving. They were troopers though and did great!

We first went to Lehi, where Josh lived during high school. We went to American Fork Canyon and played in the freezing cold water. The boys loved it though!

So after the reunion, we made the trek to Manila to hang out with Grammy and Grandpa.  We went to Dinosaur Land in Vernal, camping, and played at the elementary school gym every night.  The kids loved it all but I think their favorite was the gym.

Dinosaur Quarry.  Behind them is a mountain of dinosaur bones. If only the boys knew what they were looking at...

Fishing at Sheep Creek and Moose pond. The boys loved loved the fishing.  Even though they didn't catch anything they wanted to go again and again.

The boys loved going to Utah, but I think they can wait to go back.  They still need to forget how long the car ride was.

Tanner-9 months

I'm a little behind on this, and I'm tired of his well-visit paperwork on the counter, so it's time for me to blog!

Tanner at 9 months:
Length: 28.5 in- 52%
Weight:18 lbs., 2 oz- 28%

So this crazy kid grew 4 inches since his last check up. I thought for sure the nurse's assistant made a mistake so I measured him again at home and he did in fact have a huge growth spurt.

Let's see what else he's been up to...

Walking! Tanner started taking his first steps while we were in Utah and 9 1/2 month.  He was officially walking a couple days before he turned 10 months.  And I haven't had a chance to sit down since then.

He loves to throw his toys in the garbage and the toilet, and any bucket/box he can get his hands on.

He still isn't sure about the whole food thing, but is definitely making progress.  He likes spaghetti, lasagna, yogurt, and pasta salad.  I'm afraid I have a carbs lover.

He loves the stairs.  One day I was doing laundry and Josh was downstairs with the kids.  I didn't realize he came up and I hear David talking so went to investigate.  David had moved the ottoman blocking the stairs and was coaching him all the way to the top of the stairs.  "come on Tanner you can do it!" In my panic I didn't appreciate just how cute it was.  He's now learning how to go down as well.

He thinks the dishwasher is awesome.

He loves to be the "scary sea monster" and chase after his brothers while they run screaming from him.

Have I mentioned he loves the toilet?  Like a lot.  He is my only kid to spend this much time with his hands in the toiler.  Gross.

He still wakes up several times a night.  Boo.

But look at this face.  How can you get mad at this?

David turned 3!

So my SD card for my camera died and I almost died with it. Luckily i was able to borrow a friend's camera and get the pictures on the computer.  So I can now blog about a birthday party! We kept things pretty low key.  No bulldozer cakes round here, just some cupcakes with sprinkles, but he still seemed pretty happy with everything,  We just invited over our neighbors and grandparents and cousins, but everyone had a blast.  David ate as much cake and ice cream as he wanted, which was a lot.  He got to open a couple of presents so everything was good.

I updated at 2 1/2 for David, and not too much has changed since then, but Ill add what I can:
Getting tubes for him was the best decision ever.  He made it through the winter with a normal number of colds and even had a few weeks in there when he wasn't sick at all, a miracle for him!

His language continues to explode! And now pretty much everyone can understand everything he says.  Again, yay for tubes!

He is now Mr. Sensitive, especially when it comes to Tanner.  Apparently Tanner is the biggest, strongest, meanest baby in the world and is ALWAYS picking on poor little David.  When Tanner kicks his legs and get David, it was on purpose and David must cry about it.  "Tanner pulled my hair! Tanner's touching my chair! Tanner his me!" Apparently it is far too hard for him to move away from Tanner.

Again with the sensitive theme: He is always telling us how mean we are to him.  "Mommy got sad at me" "You broke my heart!" "Daddy is being mean to me." He always has quiet the sob stories.

He is becoming so much more independent.  He is riding a scooter now! And a tricycle! And learned how to swim! These are all a really big deal for him, he's never been as motivated to be "big" like his brother has, but it's definitely starting to come out more.

He can be a great eater, but if he sees any type of junk food, especially chips or cookies, he will not eat anything healthy.  He goes to bed without dinner far more than he should.

We went to the pet store and saw a little girl carrying around a little bird on her hand and every since then he's been carrying around imaginary baby chickens in his hand. "But they're nice!"  "They're so cute" "SHHHH! They're going to sleep now"

Yeah, we'll keep this one :)

Cars Transform!

Carden is becoming very creative lately.  He loves to glue or tape together random objects and place them all around our house.  Sometimes he makes a plane, other times it's a "shaker" (two cups taped together with something inside).  One of his "shakers" had milk in it and he just could not understand why I wasn't ok with it...

Carden is showing off his "car transformers" in this picture.  Since we didn't have any real transformers of our own at the time, he got creative and made his own :)

Here is a "city." He lined all of his cars up to go through the car wash. As you can see, pants are always optional in our house.

Such a fun kid :)
